3) If You Want To Do it

IF YOU WANT TO DO IT
There's a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday,
a Thursday, Friday and Saturday,
and even there is a Sunday,
but not at all there's a "Someday",
so let's do it today
if you want to do it,
if you're serious about it at all
to really want to do it,
then do it right now
why you’re waiting for a Someday
what if someday never comes
life is going on and on and on
is going on and runs and runs and runs
every day could end successfully
if you would handle it accordingly
today will always be the best day
even though you hope the best is yet to come
if you want to do it,
if you're serious about it at all
to really want to do it,
then do it right now
why you’re waiting for a Someday
what if someday never comes
today will always be the best day
even though you hope the best is yet to come
there’s just two days that you won’t need to think about too much
that’s tomorrow and that is yesterday
if you really want to do it
be sure to do it today
if you want to do it,
if you're serious about it at all
to really want to do it,
then do it right now

LUFTSCHLOSS
Bitte schau dich hier um,
geh einmal ganz drum herum,
geh zwei/dreimal ganz drum herum,

IT FEELS LIKE COMING HOME
there were reasons for being rootless,
good reasons for being left
sometimes inattentions,
sometimes kind of theft
always tried to be a good one
not to be left on the shelf
but evidently focused
too much on myself
all the "love you's" that I have ignored
every not awarded kiss
gone forever, I can't make it up again
I apologize the pain
all the major mistakes that I have done
all the struggles I ran through
seemed so pointless but finally I see
I passed all that for me
became a pilgrim on a long path
wanted to glimpse the divine
always knew that my goddess
somewhere out there would shine.
I will not end up as a better one
at best wiser than before
but I am not afraid
to fail anymore
I have entered my promised land
and bed my weary head
in your golden temple’s
warming, wide-open shrine.
after falling and falling
it feels like struggles have ended
after falling and falling
it feels like I have landed
caught by your sheltering arms
caught by your inspiring thoughts
caught by the space for my head
in your warm and comforting womb
it feels like coming home

HEART'S TOUCH (by Coco Nella)
*
BERÜHRUNG DES HERZENS
(deutsche Textübertragung)
in deinen Augen sehe ich dein Herz
einen warmen und offenen Raum
tief verwurzelt in alten Zeiten
tief verwurzelt in alten Zeiten

LIEBESLIED #9
Hauchst du mir Worte ins Ohr,
kommt es mir manchmal so vor,
als ob mich auf meiner Haut,
auf jeden Flecken verteilt,
eine sanfte Melodie ereilt.
Liegen zusammen wir zwei,
bleibt es nicht immer dabei.
Manchmal macht dein zärtlicher Kuss
in unserem Himmelbett
ein nächstes Liebeslied komplett.
Der Ton macht die Musik,
und du bist viele Töne!
Komm, hauch mir jetzt ins Ohr,
komm, leg dich zu mir, du Schöne!

(NOT JUST) ANOTHER NUMBER ONE
You chase me in the papers
and watch me on the screens
what you see is a bunch of fans
of crazy little screaming teens
Baby, I saw you in the crowd
last night in the middle row
and I’ve lost my heart to you
I never wanna let you go
you are not my first love, Baby,
yes, this is true
but my first Number One
oh, Baby, this is you
they rave about the band
like the infinity of stars
but that is much more fleeting
than the infinity of my love
this song will be just another
Number One for THE BUT and me
oh, Baby, please, believe me,
you are not just another Number One for me
you are not my first love, Baby,
yes, this is true
but my first Number One
oh, Baby, this is you
you are not my first love, Baby,
yes, this is true
but my first Number One
my very first Number One
my one and only Number One
oh - yeah yeah yeah - this is you

MITTSOMMER
(Text: Peter Michael Schmudde, 2017)
Über Land und Trauerweiden
scheint das Licht des Abends spät,
doch es lässt sich nichts vermeiden:
Auch der längste Tag vergeht.
Bald wird kühler Tau die Weben
all der Spinnen dort im Gras
morgennebelig verkleben,
wo ich sonnenhungrig saß.
Noch ist nicht die Zeit zur Trauer.
Seht: Der Sommer kam und ist.
Doch wie kurz ist seine Dauer.
Auch das Licht hat seine Frist.
Und ich sehe: All mein Leben,
all mein Dasein ist begrenzt.
Schon beginnt sich einzuweben,
was jetzt in der Sonne glänzt.
